Brian is a graduate of New College of Florida, where he studied Pure Math. He specialized in algebraic geometry, and his undergrad thesis was on "Fan Blowup of Analytic Surgery Spaces." To say that Brian is a math nerd is actually an understatement!

Brian's math background gives him a unique advantage for Highgroove's clients who have big data problems, or want competitive advantages in algorithms. He loves finding unique, beautiful, and simple solutions to hard problems using Ruby.

Brian was a Teaching Assistant (TA) while in school, and had a brief stint in Information Technology, where he learned Linux. He started programming in middle school, starting with the Project Euler.

He secretly loves Tuvan throat singing and is a Phở snob. He's also a newcomer to Atlanta, and a bicycle commuter.
