Mike left Highgroove to move to Silicon Valley to join the development team with our friends at Github.
Mike (many people also call him Skalnik) is a pragmatic web developer, and recent graduate of Georgia Tech, where he focused on People and Information Internetworking.
Mike helps organize the Atlanta Ruby Users Group, scheduling talks, ordering pizza, and running the meeting. He's quite interested in teaching, having put on classes and workshops on Ruby and Rails, including a 6 session Intro to Ruby on Rails class through the Georgia Tech ACM with fellow Highgroover, Will. Mike used to be President of the Georgia Tech Entrepreneurs Society, where he encouraged and helped students start companies.
You can usually find Mike riding various bicycles around Atlanta, hunting for Catlanta magnets, sampling food truck wares, or just enjoying the scenery.
