Mike (many people also call him Skalnik) is a pragmatic web developer, and soon to be graduate of Georgia Tech, where he's focusing on People and Information Internetworking.
Mike has an interest in speaking and teaching, and has presented at the Atlanta Ruby Users Group. In 2010, Mike organized a 6 session Intro to Ruby on Rails class through the Georgia Tech ACM with a fellow student. Mike also is the Co-President of the Georgia Tech Entrepreneurs Society, where he is encouraging and helping students start companies, and help create a entrepreneurial community at GT.
Before coming to Highgroove, he worked at Rails Machine (our pals!), where he worked on multiple different Ruby and Ruby on Rails architectures, apps, and projects for clients of all sizes.
You can usually find Mike riding his fixed gear bicycle around Atlanta, hunting for Catlanta magnets, and sampling food truck wares. Mike enjoys cycling, and participants in various events around Atlanta and is a member of the GT Cycling Team. He also likes to ride on the track, and competes at Dick Lane Velodrome.
