frequently asked questions

What's with the name Highgroove?

The "high groove" refers to a specific route around a race track. There is often a high groove and a low groove. Teams often tailor the setup of their car for a specific groove. The high groove is the fastest way to get around the track. Being in the high groove means you are closer to the outside wall — where it requires more effort, attention to detail, a well-tuned setup, and perfect execution, but if done right — allows you pass everyone else and get to the finish line first.

Is my company or project too big or too small to work with Highgroove?

We work with some of the biggest companies, and some of the smallest (for now) startups, too. We're hyper-specialists and picky about who we choose to work with (as you should be too). We will let you know if your project fits our hyper-tuned specialties and processes, and we'll refer you to others if it doesn't.

Do you guys do design?

We're not designers. Although we understand that design is essential to making a web application successful, it's not a service that we offer. Rest assured, though, we've worked with designers in the past, and can even recommend a few if you're in need.

What's with the Highgroove Award?

We have a virtual "trophy" that we give each other for exemplifying the Highgroove values: Personable, Optimistic, Trusting, Craftsmanship. It can only held by one person at a time, and any of us can choose to give it to another. It's just a fun way for us to encourage each other, and visibly show who's kicking butt.

I've got more questions. What now?
